• Cottage Cutz - Cutting Dies

    There is a new name in cutting dies to look out for and that name is Cottage Cutz. Cottage Cutz are a range of very detailed cutting dies and are brand new to Australia. Cottage Cutz are compatible with just about all die cutting machines like:

    * QuicKutz Revolution
    * Sizzix
    * Ellison Big Shot
    * BigKick
    * CuttleBug
    * SpellBinder Wizard
    * Accucut Zip'eMate
    * Cuttle Bug
    * Double Do XL
    Adapters may be required in some cases to accept the Cottage Cutz Dies.

    Their designs are very neat and detailed and we feel sure that they will prove to have a very big interest from those that enjoy making die cuts. Here are just a few of the designs to wet your appetite so, keep watching for more details and check the Blue Edge Crafts site to see what we have there.

    When you recieve your Cottage Cutz dies you will see a sticky foam sheet the same size as the die in the package. You need to peel off the backing paper and stick the foam sheet to the front (cutting side) of the die. Once attached you are ready to make your first cut. The foam helps keep everything in place as well as helping to push the paper or card out of the cutting area of the die.

      These look just beautiful and I can't wait to see them, the designs are just so different and kind of cutesy. The RRP is expected to be from $11.50 for the smaller dies up to $32.50 for the larger more complex dies.

      The shipment arrived yesterday and I'm slowly loading them on now. I have to say when I first saw them I was a bit disappointed as they look kind of small. Now, though when going thru each set, I can see how really useful they are. Each one has multiple bits. The one I'm currently doing is the Cup cake tier and it has the miniature cupcakes, all the little flourishes and the cupcake stand all seperate, which makes them really useful. They are very much like the Double Do dies which I really like.

      There are no instructions in them, which means if you are unsure how they work you will have to visit the manufacturers website. Ian is thinking we should do a video on them using the Double Do, Wizard and Cuttlebug (oh and maybe my soon to be delivered NEW Big Shot Pro machine )
