• Chocolate Box Card - by Kaye McGrath

Chocolate Box CardStep1 Score the 16.5cm side at 1.5cm and 15cm.
    Score the 29.5cm side at .5cm, 2.5cm, 6.5cm, 8.5cm, 12.5cm and 21cm.

Step2 Trim 1.5cm from each side up to the first base flaps of the box. (refer to pattern)

Step3 Fold all the score lines and cut the along the dotted lines to create the tabs on the box. Remove the smallest tab at the very end of the box.

Your box should look like this

Step4 Cut a small opening (approx 9cm x 2cm) in the top of the box, you can glue a small piece of acetate under the opening. (this is optional.)
It will be easier to decorate the top of you box now before it is folded. Cut the patterned paper slightly smaller than the top of the box, cut out the opening and glue or tape to the top of the box.

    Step5
There are several ways to complete this card, now is the time to decide which orientation you would prefer.
The box can be on the right or left of the card or at the bottom with the card above it.
The following instructions will show how to make the card with the box on the right hand side of the card.
Fold the card and the box. Tape the box together leaving the top tabs open to insert the chocolates.
Mark the left hand side of the card at 6cm and cut across to the fold.

Decorate the card with patterned paper and flowers/embellishments of your choice. Make a tag and insert it into the pocket. Add the chocolates.
