Instructions
Step 1. Score and fold the 15cm square card in half. Adhere the flaps of the two envelopes to the underside of each end of the folded card with double sided tape. The opening of the envelopes should be on the inside of the bag.
Your envelopes should look like this.
Step 2. Attach the 14cm x 14cm patterned paper to the 15cm x 15cm plain card then glue or tape them onto the outside of the envelopes.
Step 3. We are now going to decorate the inside of the envelopes Open the envelopes so that they are laying flat. Glue or tape the 14.5 cm x 14.5cm plain card to each envelope and then add a layer of patterned paper. I have used the small squares on the Combo papers from Blue Edge Crafts and embossed each end of the card. This is optional.
Step 4. Glue or tape the 14.5cm x 6cm strip of card onto the two centre pieces and decorate them as you wish.
Step 5. Our next cards will be the inserts. Once again layer the patterned paper onto the 14.5cm x 14.5cm plain card and slip them inside the envelopes.
The inside of the bag should look like this
Step 6. The next piece will be the flap for the front of the handbag. Score and fold the 15cm x 10cm piece of plain card at 6cm. Cut a slit in the fold wide enough for the ribbon 2cm in from each end. Thread the ribbon through the slits and secure with tape inside the smallest side of the card.
Step 7. Attach a Velcro dot to hold the bag closed and decorate the front of your bag as you wish.
I have used a butterfly edge punch and a Joycraft butterfly as well as pearl strip.
