• Spinner Card by Kerry

    Materials

    Card – 14.7 cm x 21 cm
Patterned paper or Card for Background 14.4 cm x 10 cm
Card – 13.3 cm x 6.6 cm (if you want to use patterned paper and it's thin, you will need to adhere it to card).

Image to spin (approx 3.5 cm) – NOTE = you don’t want the image to be too large
    Embellishments to decorate
2 x five cent pieces (If you don’t want to use five cent pieces, use washers instead)
Foam dot (at least 3 mm thick)
    Foam tape/dots

Fold the card (21 cm x 14.7 cm) in half.
Put double sided tape on the back of the patterned paper or card (14.4 cm x 10 cm). Remove the backing from the double sided tape and put it on to the main card.

Take the card (13.3 cm x 6.6 cm) and cut a section out in the middle – 1.3 cm x 10 cm)

SEE BELOW FOR AN EXTRA STEP (Optional)

After you have completed step 3 – cutting out the rectangle in the centre, take the card and
place it on to the front of your main card or mat, where you want the spinner to go and
lightly trace around the edges of the cut out section.

Use a sentiment stamp and stamp it so that it is in the middle of the traced outline. So that
once your card is complete, as the spinner slides along it will slide across the stamped
    message. Erase the pencil outline.

SPINNER IMAGE – Depending on the image that you want to use, you can either attach it to a circle or it can be glued directly to the 5 cent spinner piece.

Take the image and glue a five cent piece to the centre of the back. Then glue a foam dot – I know this sounds silly, this way you know that the spinner section will remain intact – to the five cent piece.

Place the image upside down on your work bench. Take the card (13.3 cm x 6.6 cm) and place it right side face down over the foam dot.

Glue the other five cent piece on to the foam dot. Make sure that the coins are lined up with each other.

Lift up the card and hold it so the right side is facing you. Tilt the card, the image should spin to the other side.
Place it face down on to your work bench and place foam tape along the top and the bottom of the spinner section. Don’t put any tape near the cut out section.

Put it on your mat where you stamped your sentiment (optional).

Then put double sided tape on the back of the mat and then place it on to your main card (Omit the first part if you haven’t used a mat layer).

Decorate your card as you wish.

You have now finished a Spinner Card!

I've just checked out the gallery and had a look at all the spinner cards everyone made last week and they look great. I'm really sorry I was away on holidays and couldn't make one but next time I'm at Kaye's I'm going to.
