• Christmas Chocolate Box by Kaye McGrath

    Material List

    You will need:

    1 piece card 28cm x 21cm

    1 piece card 28cm x 8cm in a coordinating colour

    Ribbon

    Christmas embellishments

    Instructions

Step 1. Score the 28cm side of the piece of card at 4cm, 12cm, 16cm and 24cm.
Turn the card and score the 21cm side at 3cm and 15cm.
Note: I have used bazzill bling so have marked and scored on the inside of my box
Step 2 Using the diagram below cut out the four marked section. The two circles should measure approx 4cm and will be the handles. These could be cut with a die if you have one that is suitable.
Step 3.Cut on the dotted lines as shown on the diagram to make the flaps.

    Inside of the box

    Outside of the box

Step 4. Fold the box and tape the side and bottom flaps. Leave the top flaps open to insert the chocolates.

Step 5. Decorate the box in any manner you would like. I have decorated mine by wrapping the piece of embossed (optional) card around the box and securing with tape of glue. I have added an extra thinner piece of coordinating card across the middle of the first piece of card and then added a Spellbinders Scalloped circle with a 3d image attached.

Step 6. Add a ribbon and tie a bow at the top of the box and your project is complete.
