    Tree

Polystyrene Cone – approx 26 cm in height
3 different sheet s of patterned paper – 1 of each
    Card to make 2 stars
    Toothpick
    Glue
    Small amount of ribbon
Something for the trunk – I used a glass jar

    1. Cut the patterned paper into 2 cm x 10 cm strips.
    2. Glue them together to form a tear drop shape – see photo.

    3. Glue the jar to the base of the cone.
    4. Starting at the base of the cone, Put glue around the edge of the cone and then place the tear drop shapes around it in alternating colours – see photo.

    5. Continue in this manor until the whole cone is cover. For the last couple of rows, I cut the tear drop shapes into 1 cm (x 10 cm) teardrops.
    6. Cut out 2 stars from the card. Glue the toothpick between the 2 stars.
    7. Place the star into the top of the cone.
    Your tree is now finished.

    Place Setting:

Instead of the normal place cards or bon bons (the type with the hat in it), you can make these instead.

    Patterned Paper 15 cm x 15 cm
Embellishments to go on the front – or something to put a name on
Something to go inside – I used toffees for mine

    a) Take the patterned paper and put double sided tape down one side on the right side edge.
    b) Fold it over to form a cylinder shape.

    c) Put double sided tape on the inside edge of one edge. Remove the backing from the double sided tape and press down.

    d) Put what you want inside.
    e) Put double sided tape on the inside edge of the opposite side – see photo to see how it will look. Remove the backing from the double sided tape and press down.

    f) Decorate the front as desired.

    Cutlery Pouch and Napkin Ring

    Cutlery Pouch:

    Card 21.5 cm x 9 cm
    Card (contrasting) 13 cm x 13 cm
    Patterned Paper 20.5 cm x 8 cm
Embellishments to go on the front
    Round Corner Punch

    1. Take the card (21.5 x 9 cm) and round the corners.
    2. Using the template score along the dotted lines and cut along the solid lines.
    3. Put glue on to the tabs and fold it - refer to diagram.

    4. Take the patterned paper (20.5 x 8 cm) and round the corners. Put double sided tape on the back and then place inside the pocket.
    5. Glue the pocket and patterned paper to the main piece.
    6. Decorate the front as desired.

    Napkin Ring:

    Card 2.5 cm x 15 cm
Patterned Paper 2.5 cm x 30 cm strip
    Circle 1 ½” diameter
Card – contrasting colour 6 cm x 5 cm (for tag)
    White Card 6 cm x 5 cm
    Oval Spellbinder –second smallest
Scalloped Oval Spellbinder – second smallest
Embellishments if you don’t want to put a name on the napkin ring (OPTIONAL).

    a) Take the card 2.5 cm x 15 cm and form a ring (I ended up flattening mine in to more of an oval shape).
    b) Take the strip of patterned paper and mark and score along the long side at 0.6 cm (or Ό”) intervals. Fold it accordion style.
    c) Join the folded patterned paper into a ring. Then put glue on to the circle and place the ring on to the circle to form a medallion.
    d) Cut a small oval out of the white card and a scalloped oval out of the contrasting card. Glue the white oval on to the contrasting scalloped oval.
    e) Either write a name on the ovals or decorate as desired.
    f) Glue the medallion on to the ring that you formed at step 1.
Your napkin ring is now finished.

Oh I love these ideas, that tree is so cute - and I have a few cone shaped thingys from sewing thread that I can use, might have to use glue instead of pins, but I'm sure it will work. It's a good way of using up scraps of paper too.I'll have to point my sister in the direction of these - she would love the place settings - although she'd prefer it if I made them
