• Instructions for Album Covers- by Kaye McGrath

Step 1 Using either double sided tape/glue/jac paper or modge podge glue the 8” x 8” patterned paper on to one side of the 8”x 8” thick chipboard.
Make sure you keep the off cuts if using a 12x12 page as they make excellent card fronts.
    Repeat with the back cover.

It is your choice as to how you cover the back of the covers bearing in mind that it will be the opposite side to your first album page. I have chosen to cover this side with a colour to match my first page and use it for my journaling (for the non scrappers this is your little story about the photo you have on that page ) see photo for idea

    Step 2.
Sand all the edges to a neat finish the ink all the edges and allow to dry.

Step 3. Decide how many rings you would like to use to hold your album together. I have marked 4 on the pattern but it is a personal choice as to what you use. A good idea is to punch the top and bottom ones and then see if you think you would prefer three or four.
Punch the holes at equal spaces along the left hand side of the page.

Step4. Now it is time to decorate your cover

    Step5
. Add the rings and insert January’s page

Note: alternatively you can bind the pages together using ribbon or twine, once again a personal choice.
