Just caught Ian cathcing up on his iView ABC stuff and he was watching "Outnumbered" which is a UK show so I'm a bit biased...its so funny and really watchable. The kids say the funniest things and the parents are like most parents, trying their best but pretty clueless when it comes to managing the kids.

I also love on ABC - The Street and Dr Who, The Bill, The amazing race, (they showed this week a repeat of that one with the marching...so funny the poor guy just could not get it) United States of Tara, Grand Designs, Collectors, Waking the Dead, Gardening Australia, The Prisoner, New Tricks,

On Seven my favourite shows would have to be Heartbeat which is ending soon :( Better Homes and Gardens (although I get a bit cross with the speed they do some of the projects plus they change it everytime any sport ie footy is on, so annoying) X Factor, although I think I'll get bored of this fairly soon. City Homocide, Packed to the Rafters (this is one of my favourite shows right now) Thank God Your Here, Worlds Stictest Parents. I also watch Ellen when its on during my lunchbreak although its all repeats at the moment. Lewis, Midsomer Murders, Escape to the Country and 60 Minute Makeovers (both really good fun) The Martin Clunes horsey and doggy things,

On Ten, we watch every day the news at 5pm plus Neighbours, and then the 7pm Project (which is kind of a repeat of the news although funnier), Lie to Me, Bondi Rescue, Bondi Vet (love this one right now, so sad with the animals, love the happy endings) Medium, Recruits,

On Nine I usually watch: Sea Patrol, Hot Property, RBT, Customs, Send in the Dogs,

As you can see, our TIVO works overtime on seven and the ABC :) Not that I watch a lot fo TV ROFL

Hi all, just popping into your forum looking for some advice...

My girls who are 7 & 8, are doing a fundraiser for the Royal Hobart Hospital's Children's Ward. They are going to break the world record(5886) for the most soft toys in one room, which they are soo close to doing.

The new toys are of course going to the children's ward and others are going to other vcharities for their xmas drives.

My idea was for all the older ones was to recyle them, i though craft groups could use the eyes etc and the stuffing??

Anyone here know of any groups that would be intrested?

Thanks

and this is their page :)

Hi There, I have not crafted since I was a child, apart from decorating a fun novelty cake here and there. I have taken up card making - I can't believe it will be a year next month - in that time I have learnt so much, mainly by searching the interwebs. It is my classroom! I have just found this site and thought I'd participate, hopefully on a regular basis. It's great to have the opportunity to be involved in an Aussie-based forum, thankyou.

I've been reading through some of the old threads and I don't think I've seen anything on this topic - or if I've missed it, please let me know. Hoping this section is okay for this.

So, I thought I would start a thread on gift / craft stall ideas where we can share our ideas.

With Emma finishing daycare this year, I need to make some gifts for the teachers and obviously for the future years in school. Also what are some ideas for craft stalls other than cards, tags.

I picked up last week at a garage sale, pens that had birds (punched) stuck on the end of the pen, small post it note holders. Thought these would be good ideas for gifts for teachers.

I'm working on card folders, boxed cards, stitched gift boxes (the lids of the boxes will be stitched), decorated pillow boxes, magnetic bookmarks (in a cd case), gift card holders. I thought about doing up gift bags as well.

I hope that we can share ideas.

Woohoo, 1st day of Spring which means first day of September which means another card swap is starting. I have just been and checked out the list of suggestions for the Card Swap and saw that Acetate was a big favourite.

This month we will be swapping two acetate cards. Either cards made from acetate or acetate used on the card in some form.

Of course Splitcoast Stampers have a terrific tutorial here.

I am off to open up the group so follow along and add your names. I will post partners Wednesday, 8th September.

To sign up click on 'Community' in the second section (blue) of the top tool bar. Then click 'Groups' in the drop down menu. The over to the right hand side you will see all the New Groups just click on the 'Join' button of the group you wish to join.

Swap Guidelines
1.Swaps to be sent to partner by the end of the month. However, if life gets in the way, as it does, please just PM your partner and let them know the swap may be a little late.

2.Here at Craftmad we have gotten into the habit of taking a photo of our creations before mailing them off. Which we then post into the Gallery when our partner advises that they have received their swap. I think it is better this way as the Sender can add much more description to their photo about the card was made.

3.Cards are normally accompanied with envelopes.

4.Advisable to send in a plastic covering just in case it is raining at the other end. Don't want the water to ruin all your hard work.

If you can think of anything else we do that I haven't listed please let me know.

September has arrived already. Time to start up a new swap group. Thought we could have a go at this tag. Now there is no pressure.....please don't feel you have to join as I know that life is busy especially the closer we get to Christmas. I must admit I did enjoy the break from sewing last month. So the details are:
