Hey everyone, gosh its been so long since I popped in. Life is crazy mad atm, work galore, orders on a steady inflow & lots of new custom sewing I do now too. House is moving along slab is down & hoping they deliver bricks next week. We are all still alive & kicking which is the main thing. Hope to get back more often!!!

Hey Tina good to hear from you. Sounds like your life is as busy as ever and good progress happening on your new home.
Busy morning here, doctors and shopping and lots of other running around. Hope to do a bit more in the garden this afternoon before the rain comes back. There isd a cyclone heading towards the north and they are suggesting that we could get some more rain associated with it.
Went to the doll and bear show yesterday for a look but was very strong and only looked.

That cyclone looks bad, luckily they say its not going to reach you ove in QLD.............well thats what they say now lol. You were good not to buy anything at the doll show. I'm looking forward to the Easter show, time to have a good look and maybe buy a few pressies..nothing like starting Christmas shopping early hey??

Clinkers are chocolate Mandy with lolly inside yummy, Tina do you need a hand. I am free.
Thanks for that site, Ron is into it and very interesting. Hope the cyclone stays away I think people are still having a hard time cleaning up damage from the recent floods. I am sure they don't need any more.
I didn't realise you had an Easter show Mandy We always enjoyed the Sydney Easter show.I don't think it is ever too early to start on Christmas. it seems to come around so quickly. I have made a small start and have lots rolling around in my head lol
I was really looking for miniatures at the Doll Show, sometimes they have a few but not this time. Was good for a look anyway.

Oooo chocolates, I'm up for helping Tina too then

We don't have a huge show like the Royal Show at Easter, Kaye, there is a big craft show at the Morphetville Racecourse which we've done for a number of years, it was once of my first ever big fairs about 10 years ago, so this will be kind of an anniversary. Which kind of means that Blue Edge Crafts is 10 years old this year..................we'll have to work out something for our birthday celebrations.......I'm thinking cake lol. Bit of a milestone to make 10 years as a retailer in this business hey?? Must be doing something right.

That is a great achievement Mandy, and yes I am sure everyone on this forum would agree that you certainly do lots right. Cake does sound like a good way to celebrate and chocolate and ice cream of course.
Speaking of cake I was just about to make some muffins for a visitor we expected at 3pm but he arrived at 1 so he missed out big time. had another major session in the garden this morning so we are really creeping around moaning this afternoon. Just about doe just one tree left to trim and some mulch to lay and then a mountain of rubbish to get rid of. I took a photo to show what 10 inches of rain can do to a garden This is what I have cut out of our gardens the last few days.
    Crafting is so much easier.

Kaye you've had a huge clean up there! DH and I spent Sunday out in our garden, have weeded and pruned about a third of the yard and the trailer is almost full. We probably need to spend another day or two out there, but that probably won't happen 'till next weekend.

I had some good news today - received the mark for the final assignment of my first TAFE course module... another Distinction, so I'm a very VERY happy bunny. So, now it's onto the next 2 modules, which are all about meetings and conferences. Getting through the boring stuff first, then the reward will be the Project Management module which is the one I really wanted to do in the first place.

Good for you Wendy must be a nice feeling to know you have done so well.
One thing about doing all that gardening is that I have caught up on most of my mail etc on the computer this afternoon because I am not much good for anything else except sitting. lol

Yes Tina that was in just under a week, we are only a few kms out of Brissy, a lot of other places especially the Sunshine coast had much more and of course out west they were badly flooded. Has turned everything brilliant green again.
Had a look at your blog photos. So exciting for you to see that it is taking shape.

Phew, that sure was a lot of green stuff, Kaye, our's isn't growing nearly as fast..........in fact it's shrivelling rather than growing. We took the plunge and moved our mini orange tree into a pot last weekend, it's not dead yet

Good news on the distinction, Wendy, you'll have that course done and dusted in now time.

Flippen heck Tina, thats a long time without rain, your block sure is coming along, did the bricks arrive yet?? or better yet, did the brickies arrive?? We find thats the hard part getting the tradies there.

Hi ya catherine, you sound busy as ever.......bit like the rest of us. It always seems a pain after Christmas and New Year to get back into things......then your looking at Easter round the corner to stuff it all up again.

    morning all

my new glasses are ready to pick up but I am waiting till tomorrow as I have to go to town tomorrow & really cant justify doing a 110k round trip today for them but its only 1 more sleep

No Mandy no bricks or anything yet but apparently they leave the slab a couple of weeks to cure so maybe next week..............hopefully. Apparently once they start its pretty quick!!!

You won't know yourself when you get your new glasses Tina. I got new ones a couple of weeks ago and although I knew my eyes had deteriorated I never realised just how much. Just amazing what I can see now.
Friday again, so whats everyone up to for the weekend. Feel like I should still be asleep. Hospital day for Ron yesterday and it is always a bit of a drama however we got through the appointment and the treatment rather quickly for a change. Bit of shopping this morning and maybe a bit of finishing off in the garden so we can organise someone to take the mountain of rubbish away and should give me a clear go at other things, like craft, over the weekend.
