Your lif is anything but boring hey Kaye..............the dump and the doctors lol, two places we could all do without visiting

Well, it was a bumper day yesterday, not only with orders, but with parcels too, in the end, we had three deliveries with the last one being the big one I was really waiting for Unpacked most of it, just need to count it and check in it in now..........that should nicely fill up the morning. The new cards are beautiful, we only ordered cream and white for a first go, they look very similar, just slightly different shades. its very nice textured card though, kind of a linen finish. I hope I manage to get them online this week, if not, next weeks going to be super busy.

We haven't been doing much here lately...although it seems that we have been busy. Today was an inspection day for our unit...everything went well which is good. We have an electrician arriving tomorrow morning (at 8-30 am hopefully) to fix a light fixture that broke last night and also to look at our oven. Will see what happens, I'm not holding my breath for things to be fixed tomorrow.

I spent today helping the ladies out where I teach classes - they needed help getting things ready for the craft show this weekend here in Brisbane. Must admit that I'm feeling totally buggered. I'll also be helping them out on Saturday and Monday at the show. Really looking forward to this - although I'm not too sure if my feet will.

On a good note - Emma has gone up to the Preschool group at Daycare - they feel that she might be better with the older group. Will see how she goes over the next few weeks.

Other than that, not much happening.

Hope to catch up with you Kerry, don't think I will make it Saturday Like you my poor feet won't take three days and Ruth and I are planning to go Sunday and Monday so will look out for you then.
Cold day in Brissy today, I think the coldest we have had so far. Early start but didn't seem so bad at 4.30, Off to the hospital shortly so fingers crossed for a good report for my man.

I know how you feel Kerry, I'm tired from getting ready for this fair, its amazing how much needs to be done, getting 6 shipments in from different suppliers this week hasn't helped either...........there's stuff everywhere. My advice for the weekend: wear trainers or flat comfy shoes, take plenty of water, Tissues and wet wipes (I always forget these) pack snacks like carrots, celerey apple, chocolate and throat sweets. I'm sure you will have heaps of fun, thats whats really good about these shows, getting the chance to chat to people, see whats new and best of all sell heaps.

Yesterday must ahve been the quietest day on our shop for this year I think, which is kind of good as it gives me a bit of a chance to get organised today......like put the stickers away, they are currently taking up valuable floor space and there's going to be an accident soon if I don't shift them Can't have me claiming work cover now can we?? Or worse still, injured and not able to work................that would be awful

Kaye, do you have to pay to dump yoru rubbish over there?? We do over here and I'm sure that's why is so much fly tipping. Ian commented on the rubbish he saw when going thru the hills recently, such a shame that people feel the need to do that. Good luck at the hospital, hope the results are good.

Fingers crossed for a positive result from your trip to the hospital Kaye.
Mandy, be careful what you wish for... injured and unable to work might also mean unable to craft!
Kerry, that's great news about Emma moving up at daycare. Hopefully it all goes really well.
I had an interesting message from DH this morning, indicating that he might have to go to Brisbane for a couple of weeks for work later in the year. He was wondering what I thought of it all - I said go for it, cos the kids and I would love to go up there for a week with him! We can do fun stuff while he goes to work and might even get to catch up with the Brissy girls on here. Not planning anything yet though - don't want to put the cart before the horse so to speak.
Busy times still here - I have end of financial year stuff happening and also need to go back to Mum and Dad's tomorrow cos my Nan is in the hostel and we need to sort out some paperwork etc... then in a few weeks we begin sorting the contents of her house as it may have to be sold. Not really looking forward to that, but it has to be done and that's what I signed on for when I agreed to be her Attorney.
The kids are keeping us busy too, and my TAFE stuff is not progressing too quickly at the moment. Hoping to work on the next assignment this long weekend while we're up at the river cabin.

Thanks Wendy and Mandy, heading off shortly, really hate the waiting around to go.
Yes Mandy We have to pay for dumping rubbish but the council does give us 5 green and 5 general rubbish vouchers each year so not too bad really.
Be great to have a Brissy get together Wendy. I am sure you would enjoy the break away from your busy life.

Cold and miserale in Brissy this morning. Woke up really tired after a big day yesterday and would love to stay in bed under the doona, but no we have to go back to the hospital because some idiot cancelled our appointment and never bothered to tell us. Told us there were no doctors to see us and silly me thought it was a hospital
Just such a drag to get there as there is no point taking the car as more often than not there is no parking left so we bus it but by the time you leave the car at the local shops and do the walk at this end and the walk atthe other end it is a 2 hour trip. for a hospital that is 6 kms away.
Anyway a quick trip to the supermarket before we go. Think I am in a bad mood already just thinking about it.
    Have a good weekend everyone.
Mandy I hope the fair is successful and also a lot of fun. Don't forget take away and feet up in front of the tele

Thanks Kaye, sounds like you had a real day of it yesterday, how flippen annoying is that?? In this day and age of technology, how easy is a simple text message/email/phone call to let you know, they must have at least one of these on file?? Don't you just wish you cold charge them for the time wasted?? I know the hospitals back in the UK have horrendous parking, the one my sister works at you have to pay to park and more often than not, you drive right thru the car park and can't find a space. Hope you have better luck today and better yet, hope you have a wonderful crafty creative weekend.

To say I'm busy today is a total understatement, still got boxes to pack for the weekend, Spellbinders and Just Rite stamps to sort out as well as making up displays for the new cards and stickers. Then there is the normal day to day stuff....and what do you think Ian is doing?? Cleaning the flippen car, honestly, its been raining, where we set up is muddy on rainy days, what is the point???

He's male and it's his new toy!!!!!

From our point of view a total waste of time and effort which could be better employed elsewhere!

I was well and truly paid back today for my moaning. Two hour wait to see the doctor so our trip today has taken from 10.15 to 2.45. So not impressed am I.
I could give Ian a lecture for you if you like Mandy, I am really in the right frame of mind at the minute

Oh dear, Kaye, thats not good at all...............I don't think poor Ian could cope with another moan today

Been such a very busy day, some idiot woke up at 5.30am and decided a cup of tea was in order, so after I'd made that it was off to load up the card and gather together the final stock and print labels etc. Now, though, I'm shattered and my poor feet could do with a nice soak and massage...any volunteers??? It was brillant as aways to catch up with Beth and she's already made my swap cards for me (not that she realises it yet )

Sounds like a long hard day Mandy, hope you are felling a little refreshed this morning andready to face the world again. Wea re heading off to the airport soon to collect Ruth ( and Geoff of course) and then we will be leaving the boys to their own devices (which could be dangerous, must hide the credit card) and heading off to the craft expo for the next two days.
Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.

I'm enjoying a relaxing weekend up at the river cabin with my beautiful family and some good friends. Love it up here - it's cold outside, but it's toasty warm inside next to the open fire. The kids have put on their gumboots, beanies, gloves and coats and gone off riding their bikes around the caravan park. DH and our friends have gone out to get a load of wood for the fire and I'm sitting by myself in the cabin. I'm meant to be working on assignment for TAFE lol. This morning I have dyed my hair so there are no more greys there - first time I've ever done a hair dye job in a caravan park where I had to walk down past so many people to get to the shower to rinse the dye off! Gave a few people a free giggle I think.

Your weekend sounds so good Wendy. Ruth and I on the other hand spent the day trudging around the Craft Expo. We came home very tired but full of inspiration and then crafted til late. My inspiration sort of left me once I started my swap cards and if it could go wrong it did so it will be backto the drawing board on those tonight. Meanwhile we are off again today, have booked a couple of classses so at least we can sit down for those.
