What a hot weekend over there Tina, you'll be needing the beach to cool down this week. Maybe I should stop complaining as we are supposed to be around 36 today. The humidity here is the killer.
I spent most of the weekend crafting so thinking that maybe I should close the craft room door today and do some mundane things like washing and tidying up. I only said maybe

Phew, that is hot Tina, maybe I could send you over some of our cooler weather..............although in second thoughts, I'll keep it for now, cos it's supposed to be getting hotter later this week. Best place to be is at the beach on days like those, unless its windy, then its just a pain cos blowing sand really does hurt

Don't envy you the humidity either Kaye, thats the only thing about down here, the dry heat can sometimes be easier to manage than the humidity.

I had a lovely afternoon crafting yesterday, managed to make five cards in total plus start on a few others. I'm finding writing the instructions a bif of a challenge lately. Didn't find time to add the new papers to the online store, also found I'd ordered a whole heap of new die cut phrase sheets and new gems as well as fpoam double sided pads.............which worked really well on my cards yesterday. Hopefully, I'll get a bit of time later today..............after paying the bills and finishing the photo taking.......life sure isn't dull is it??

My little furry boys are somewhat less furry now they have been clipped, shampooed and glammed up! they also smell somewhat better as well. Poor little Toby was a sick boy yesterday, but seems to be okay now. They have both been sneezing like crazy, so i'm wondering if there is some doggy bug going around.

The electronics guy came and checked out the remote for the air-con. the hand device is fine, but the electronics in the unit on the roof are cactus. so it's going to cost over $700 for the replacement parts. They have to be ordered in, and hopefully should be done by Friday! pity the hottest days this week are going to be Wednesday and Thursday......

It's COLD here again this morning. I have my winter dressing gown and moccasins out and that bothers me in the middle of January
Went scrapbooking on Sunday for the first time since about October, only finished 4 pages in the 7 hours, but it was great to go and stickybeak at everyone else's work and to see my scrapbooking friends who I haven't seen in ages. Work yesterday, and today I'm working at home - bookwork again. I'd like to get stuck into my next TAFE assignment, but think it might be easier to do that once the kids are back at school.
Not much other news here... Nicole is going to a friend's place for a sleepover on Thursday night, and Rachel is having a friend of hers come and stay here for the night. Xena our kitten is still in that stupid stage... she just attacks anything and everything LOL the kids are calling her Ninja Cat.
I'm still working on piecing the quilt for our niece. Happy with the blocks so far, they are looking quite good, even considering that the colours are probably not what I would have chosen, so it will be good to get them done a bit further and then I'll take a pic once my camera is back from its trip to Adelaide (to the extended warranty repair shop). Hopefully it's not away too long.
When scrapbooking, remember to do journalling in your albums - no matter how ugly your handwriting is, it is a gift for future generations

That is expensive, Beth, last time ours blew, we were covered by our insurance as it was a motor burnout, I'd check that too, yo7u may well be covered. Also, is your email working? I got two bounced emails yesterday after I hit reply to yours. I'll pm you, cos its about Saturday. I have emailed Cathy, but haven't ehar back yet, is she okay? I haven't seen her on FB either, hope she's just working hard and not ill. You could be onto something with the doggies, Ian just said the cat looks like it's lost its voice cos it does that funny open mouth but no sound miawing, could be why we slept in toll 7.30 this morning lol.

I saw on the news last night that you ahd snow over there, Wendy, what a strange thing the weather is sometimes hey?? Tina is at 49deg, you've got snow over there and we are nice and mild at a top of 29 deg today, beeeewwwdiful

We seriously need to book our hard rubbish collection, got a whole heap of stuff to go including the spare matress that is cloggin up my spare room. Then its backt o officeworks as they had a really nice shelving unit which looked quite sturdy, we're going to be sorting out the laundry now we don't have to replace the washing machine.

    Hoping everyone is going okay....

Haven't been doing much lately...just trying to keep cool. I've been making cards for a group that is trying to raise money for equipment for their Sensory room at a School. So far about 45 cards made, a few more to go.

We're going out tonight for dinner with a friend that I haven't seen for about 5 years. The last time we tried to get together, I ended up in hospital having little Emma (nearly 4 years to the day). Looking forward to doing that.

Sounds like everyone has had a very busy start to the new year.

Nothing much going on with me aside from the usual work, come home, go to bed then get up and go to work again! It's just such a shame to look out the window at the beautiful sunny day from behind a computer, but at least we've got an office with a view!

I am very proud to be able to say I went into a scrapping shop I'd never stepped into today and managed to leave after a look around, a lovely chat with the lady behind the counter and having not spent a single cent!! Yay for willpower, I went in looking for something specific and when the didnt' have it I chatted to the lady about all sorts of things then apologised for not buying anything (as a fellow scrapper she understood the overflowing scrap room and need to put a lock on the waller sometimes) and promised to come back once I was allowing myself to shop again! I'm so pleased to have found such a good little shop so close to my work, this could be dangerous to the new budget!

I was woken this morning by a neighbor at 6.30.. brining my escape artist dog home. Two days in a row she has been out now. Wish I could work out how as we are supposed to be going away for a few days and I don't want to have to take her with us.
Crafting appears to be out the window for me, at least until the kids go back to school.. hopefully I will get some done then.. I am missing it.

Hey Kerry good to hear from you, sounds like someone is having a birthday at your house. Can't believe Miss Em is going to be 4 already.
Hope your plan works out for you Ali,I said the same thing and lasted until 2nd January and that is probably die to the fact that the shops were closed on 1st Anyway I am blaming Ruth as she was staying and it was her hubby who drove us there, maybe I should blame him. One thing I did buy ( well actually Ruth bought it for me in her travels) was a heat gun. Haven't actually got it yet but believe it is in the post. Have never embossed before so should be interesting.
Mandy hope your little fur baby has found her voice. Have fun crafting on Saturday, I am sure you will.
Hot start to the day again up here. try to do as much as possible before it gets too hot but apart from putting a load of washing on have been sitting at the computer for the last one and a half hours sorting out little messages telling me that my google chrome was corrupt. Think there is some big virus around at the moment but my virus scan never picked anything up. Have been backing up all my journal instructions and lots of photos etc like crazy to my external drive. Hate to lose all of them. All seems to be ok now so time will tell I guess.Always facinates me with these machines that you can turn them off at night and next time you switch them on they have a problem. I am sure we have gremilns.

    Have a good day everyone.

That was good, Ali, not to spend anything, good on you for having the willpower. I wasn't going to buy any new stock this month, just get up to date with what we had, unfortunately, that didn't work as well as I'd hoped.............I'm a total sucker for new stuff.

Cath, little Dot sounds like a right character, hope you find out where she's getting out from. We used to have a dog when I was a kid called Rory and it was such a pain in the neck for escaping, it used to chase the farmers sheep. One day it never came back and my Dad said it had got lost. A few years ago, I found out that they took it to the vets for a nice long sleep...they sure did keep that secret well

Nice to see you abck, kerry, Happy Birthday to little Miss Em, 4 hey?? Boy that time sure is flying by........she'll be having teenage tantrums before you know it.

Good luck with the computers, Kaye, I know what you mean about gremlins, although (touch wood) mines been behaving recently. I'm having a day off from normal stuff today to sort out the shop and tidy up (got to make the place respectable for my weekend craft visitors)

Well after young Dot was out front three times in two hours yesterday we tried to get her to give up her secret. I put a doggy treat out front and the video camera and went inside.. guess what I got half an hour of footage of a doggy biscuit and fence... no sign of a dog though!
Keith decided he woudl have a go.. so out he went with his bike, rode along the drive way once and came in and said "she has dug a hole under the fence Mum, here she is!" Smart alec kid!
At least we know how she was getting out, not to work out how to stop her. We had planned on going to Melbourne for a few days this week.. dog free... but she may have to come with us. The in-laws yard is more secure than ours atm. Time for a new tag with Dot's name and contact details on it me thinks.

Ashleigh has a freind over today.. so they are very quiet.. plan is to go swimming later this arvo.. lucky the girls are the same size as Chenoa told me after we got home she couldn't find her bathers LOL.

Can't wait till kids are back at school... craft time is much needed!

Had a great time on Tuesday night catching up with Tani (she's down from Cairns). She seemed to be in awe of Emma - I'm not too sure why, may be it's got something to do with her cute blue eyes, and cheeky smile.

We had another session this morning with the Occupational therapist. My brother picked us up and took us home. He spent a few hours here, catching up with what's going on. It was great to see him.

Mandy, Kaye, Emma's birthday is on the 29 January, so a little while off yet. Gives me time to organise a few things for her.
