So what has everyone been up to this weekend. Ours was a bit quiet so i managed to get a bit of time in the craft room. Have had two very hot days so a good excuse to stay indoors, though i did venture out when I heard the hedge trimmer going. Our greviilia was having a haircut but I managed to save it in time
We have a couple of cyclones up north so hope our far north girls are safe and dry.

Those men and their machines hey Kaye?? I swear, they get anything electrical in their hands and it's curtains for your plants, glad you managed to stop him. We've been busy DIY'ing yesterday and today, well only did a bit, we're slowly replacing all the fly screens on the windows and it's mazing to me how much dirt collects underneath them. I've also been making up a few cards and finally managed to get my Klic n Kut to do the cutting right.............think it was more a case of me getting it right...........I keep forgetting to see the origin..................flippen nuisance cos then its cuts all over the place.

That was good to catch up with your brother Kerry, haven't spoken to mine for a week or so. we sometimes catch up on Facebook.................most often I'm busy working when they try to call me though and they are sleeping when I call them It's a strange upside down world sometimes hey??

Sounds like you should name that dog Houdini Catherine, or Disappearing Dot, hope you managed to plug the whole...................you'd be devastated to come back and find her gone.

We are having such fun with Dot.. yesterday she decided it would be fun to crawl under the fence on one side of the house.. then run across the front yard and crawl under the gate on the other side of the house and come and knock on the laundry door.
Our block is 2.5 acres, so we have in "internal" yard which is bigger than a very large backyard for the kids and dogs.... it's about half an acre of sapce... and the laundry door is accessed via the outer or "Big Back yard" as the kids call it.
Dot did this about 15 times in an hour LOL.. she thought is was great and as Keith's bedroom is closest the laundry so did he as he got up to her each time!
Steve has maybe fixed the spot she digs out, but only time will tell LOL.. our ground is so dry it's like a sandpit!

Off next door this evening for their annual Australia Day BBQ.... at least we have a great night for it....
    Catherine.

Glad to hear that your site is back up and running, Tina.............I so hate it when that happens. Even with your own server it still happens, I think ours had to be re-booted a few times this weekend mainly due to technical glitches whatever they are. Your block is beginning to look a lot like a house is going there, I bet you are still so excited by it all, I know I would be. I get excited when the front garden looks like it might get done LOL

I had a very quiet Australia Day, helped with the fly screen replacments and then just sat around reading a few craft magazines and trying to get motivated to do something. Did cook a really nice roast dinner though, so that was something.

Pretty quiet Australia Day here as well Mandy but we have made up for it this morning with heaps of running around, blood tests , groceries, optometrist, fuel, chemist all those uninteresting things that just have to be done. The most exciting was a trip to Darrell Lea to find a gift for a friend and some taste testing of pineapple and strawberry licorice. Just hope the choclates mak eit to the intended person. A mountain of ironing is sitting waiting for me this afternoon so time to catch up after a few days crafting.
Very hot up here today again. When will it end.

Somebodies stupid cat woke me up at about 4am this morning, could not get back to sleep so by about 4.30 I'd got up and made a cup of tea. Now, I feel worn out and although I started work early, haven't really done much. Shame really as its really quite busy now especially with me taking a four day weekend I think all cats should be made to stay in at night.

Same here Mandy but I was woken by rain , birds going crazy in the rain and a chatterbox husband who promptly went back to sleep once I was awake. Think we both should have a nanny nap now.
The rain has cleared but supposed to be back tomorrow, we can use it Certainly didn't cool it down any, Finished the grocery shopping, just having a cuppa and deciding what is next on the list, not much me thinks

So what is everyone up to this weekend. Pretty quiet up here. Having a little much need rain and has cooled off a bit though still very humid. Had a few hours crafting yesterday and almost finished my project for the show this year. Off out shortly to the Super Butcher (who opens at 6am) to check out his specials. So much easier on a Sunday morning because of where he is situated , very busy part of town. Then after that well who knows. Enjoy your day everyone

I'm busy pulling out rosebushes and grass ready for our new moss rocks to arrive next week.........good job too, cos our front garden looks like a barren wasteland. It's hot out there though, so I may well only do a few hours, then come in and finish crafting.

We're promised rain this week, hope we get it.

Hi everyone! I've been very busy lately, but I've missed you all!!!! The kids are back at school now so life can get back into routine. Today I am going to sort out some bookwork and try to finish an assignment for my TAFE course. We weren't home very much over the holidays - spent lots of time away from all the stresses doing family stuff which was just wonderful, and in the last 6 weeks I think we spent more quality time all together than we have in years.
So, with routine back in swing... the house feels kind of empty with just me and the cat home :s Think I'll go make a coffee and get stuck into some work.
