Glad the unit was useful, Beth, those shelves are fine for looking and displaying, just take up so much room. For just the Bazzills I think I'd need another 5 of them. I do have another one here which I think Cathy is going to get.......just need to get my new drawers organised then its out of here. We delivered another one earlier on Saturday and I think she was very happy too It's nice to share them around.

Been busy here since our Spellbinders sale plus yesterday another heap of Bazzill colours arrived, 40 new to us oes, not new to the range, managed to get them all online last night and there are a few red ones which I might use for the inspiration challenge.

Good to hear your back and rested Wendy, sounds like you ahd a lovely 6 weeks away. Seems like a few people are taking a break at the moment, January and February are usually the quietest times on here and at work..................I think in previous years I've had my folks over and haven't had a lot of time to get things done as I would have liked.

Thise kids are growing fast Tina and its great to hear that things are going well business wise. Nothing like work to wake you up and get you back into the swing of things hey??

Good to see you back Wendy and Tina , you both sound as busy as usual and you too Mandy, but we know you are always busy . Hope tomorrow is going to be your "day off". Those new bazzills look nice, good colours.
Not a lot going on here today. Sat around deciding what we should do and I think in the end we decided it would be not much. Unusual for us, we had planned a trip up to the Sunshine Coast but apart from the rain don't think Ron really feels up to it.
So maybe I may go see what I have in the way of red in the craft room and try the inspiration challenge.... after my coffee that is.

    Hi everyone,

Hope all are well, I'm sure many of you are busy getting kids back to school - Tassie kids go back next week but I know our terms are different to the rest of the country as we have 3 not 4.

I've not been up to much, quite busy at work as the other lady in the team is away on leave so I've been trying to keep things ticking over all by myself! I'll be glad when she's back next week that's for sure!

We've been doing a bit of thinking lately about whether we want to buy or build our next house, as we're looking at moving on from this place in the next year or so - but we can't decide whether to try and find a house that satisfies our (perhaps somewhat fussy) list of needs or whether to go the more complicated route of building. We've still got more to do to this place before we move on, but we're slowly getting there - New downlights installed last week, new carpet coming next week and a bit of painting tidy up before then...it'll all come together eventually but I just can't wait for it to be finished!
Contentment is not the fulfilment of what you want, but the realisation of how much you already have.

Life sounds busy for you too Ali, how exciting to be thinking about moving.............like you say though, always the dreaded tarting up of the old place. I'd love to finish ours off and have new carpets etc. We were supposed to be getting moss rocks this week but the dingo digger can't move them so it's going to have to be a bob cat job (not that I know the difference, they are all just big diggers to me) Did you ever mend that leak over your craft table? Hope you manage to get back to card making and crafting, life sure can take over can't it??

The Sunshine coast doesn't sound like its very sunny at the moment Kaye, probably best to disappear to the craft room. I haven't really taken any time off this week, apart from elaving a bit early yesterday to go shopping. Today was supposed to be a sort out day, doesn't look like that is going to happen cos a few of my friends have spent their vouchers need to make sure those get sent hey??? Doesn't really matter, if I keep on top of it, the weekend should be pretty clear.

Well I've been out shopping this morning.. got some new jeans with a gift card that I received for Christmas. Had coffee with a friend who was feeling lousy from some virus, and now I'm home and going to attempt to finish my next TAFE assignment. It's raining here, a nice steady pitter patter on the roof, so great background noise for study!

Good to hear from you Ali and Wendy
Mandy wouldn't you think those friends of yours would be a bit more considerate and give you the day off, I am sure they wouldn't mind waiting though
Not much happpening here. Ron is at work so pretty quiet though they won't last long. I woke up feeling a bit under par so have spent the day between the bed and the recilner chair. Must have picked up a little bug somewhere.Hoping to go to the papercrafts show tomorrow but will see how things progress

Hope you are feeling better today Kaye, can't have you missing the paper carft show now can we?? I'm spending my day catching up on paperwork, luckily we get more time this quarter for the taxes otherwise I'd be stuffed. Spent part of last night putting the purchase invoices in order.......what a joy that was...........just looking at how much has gone out for the quarter. Still, no pain no gain hey?? Sales are easier to work out cos we just take the figures direct from the online store and feed them into the accounts package.

It's a beautiful fresh morning here and event hough we didn't get much rain, the garden isn't looking too bad. Best go get on and stop putting off the boring jobs.

Not much has been happening here lately. Today is Emma's first day at daycare....it feels really strange not having the non-stop chattering around me. We pick her up at 4 this arvo. I rang the centre to see how she was going and they said that she's been participating in the dancing class they had as well as the other activities.

Kaye, I hope that you're feeling better and able to go to the Papercraft show. To be honest I didn't know one is on at the moment.

Tomorrow I'm teaching a class...so have to get things ready for that.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Feeling a bit better today and I did get to the papercraft show ( Kerry it is the one at the RNA) Must say I was a bit disappointed, was very few exhibitor really and very few demos of interest. I did buy a couple of embossing powders and some nice charms but unlike me I cam home with money in my purse
Kerry you won't know what to do with yourself without your little shadow. So pleased to hear that Em likes it so far.
Time for a nanny nap I think.

We have had torrential rain overnight and a very wet day so far today here in Brissy The thunder is rumbling and a bit of lightning around so just a perfect day to retreat to the craft room. Thought it was a good chance to catch up on birthday cards up to the end of May so 2 down and 7 to go. Also managed to complete the Inspiration Challenge and the swap for this month so I am on a roll.
Funny thing is I was going to go out there and practice some embossing, maybe later Can't seem to get the hang of an even amount of ink on my stamps but will keep trying.
    Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

I woke up with so many plans and here I am still working on the accounts. Nearly finished now, only a few more things to sort out. No matter how much I tell myslef that next quarter will be different it never is............so much for New Years resolutions hey??

I was going to have a go at using some of my old decorator glazes and stamps, had a good clear out and threw out a load of dried up stuff and also found my Plaid foam pads, so they will eb good to play with. Was also going to have another go at paper casting, although like my paper making, I still need an old or cheap blender for that. Despite the cheapy shops showing them in their leaflets, everytime I go in there they haven't got them. Maybe I'll just finish off the insturctions for those wedding cards that didn't make it into the journal and put them on the front of the site

This week is going as fast as last week, just got another call from those people at the Australian Beaurea of Statistics asking for my return which was supposed to be done back in November oppps. Luckily, it's not like the tax forms, they can really fine you for being late. In one way, I ahte filling in the forms because it takes a while to do and you ahve to go back over the information you've already looked at for the GST. In another way, it makes you stop and look at the way you are conducting your business as it asks questions about new technology, new systems etc. Also asks if you've had any Government grants.................as iff?? I'd like to know how anyone qualifies for those.

Still hot and sticky here, we're promised thunderstorms and rain later this week, can't come soon enough, I think we're seriously thinking about getting a split system or two in the house to have when these days are around.........would also be great for winter heat. The evaporative is good, it just makes the whole place smell like a wet dog when there's too much humidity.

Oh well, lunchtime and my tummy is a rumbling, best go raid the fridge...............what's everyone else up to this week??

Still hot and sticky and wet here too Mandy. Have had just heaps of rain the last few days.
Just home from a long lunch with friends. Haven't been able to get together for some time so was lovely to catch up. So that has basically taken care of today.
Yesterday was a trip to the doctor with a sprained ankle and a visit from the electrician after we lost all of our lights and ceiling fans. After much searching it turned out to be an animal of sorts had settled on the top of the dining room light and cooked it self short circuiting the lights. Think it may have been a ghecko, Ron has kindly kept its remains in case I want to identify it but I think I will give that a miss.
Have had a little play with my Slice machine and the Xyron with glitter, also with my new Spellbinders. Started sorting my paper trays out before I went out this morning and just looked at the mess in the craft room when I came home and wondered why I started. Think I will leave it till tomorrow now.

It's another week of flat-out work for me... and I'm desperately trying to sneak some craft time to finish DH's Valentines Day gift. I ended up asking that he not come into the craft room cos it's "secret women's business" I'm still working on loading all my programs and printer drivers etc on my new laptop, but on the plus side, I had my first video call to Mum on skype this afternoon... the kids really didn't know what to do... and Mum loved being able to see them while she was talking to them. I wasn't so keen on how she pointed out that I had pretty extreme dark circles around my eyes though... maybe she'd better not see me too often!
We had to call the fridge repair man back yesterday AND today again... the compressor needing replacement late last year was just the beginning of a really long, frustrating process to get our fridge working properly again.
At this stage, we are heading back up to the cabin by the Murray River for the weekend - Southern 80 ski race is on so there will be lots of souped-up motors on hot-looking boats... and maybe the odd bit of eye-candy on skis too! We'll probably spend most of our time swimming down below the weir where the water is low, weather permitting. It's hot and humid here too, this evening we had some spectacular lightning and a lot of thunder to go with it, but about 10 droplets of rain is all those beautiful storm clouds wanted to give us. It cooled off just a little after the 10 droplets but it's warm again outside now.

Happy Valentines Day eveyone, hope you all got choccies and flowers...........or if you were extremley lucky, jewellery I got nothing, same as last year and the yers beofre that. I also gave nothing so it is probably true to say that you get what you give lol.

Yesterday I had a really nice day, managed a bit of time on my Klic n Kut in the afternoon and finally cut out a teapot shape for my sisters birthday card and a few Mothers Day words for my swap cards. I also cleaned the car and my office space and sorted out quite a few bits and peices for the bargain bin, so a very productive day.

Today, I'm going to spend the whole day playing and learning more about cutting and designing.....................just have to master this machine before teh new ones arrive
