But the funniest part is that Mandy was our house mother and although she was our Craft forum Mandy she was actually a tall, 30 something, wearing a long blonde ponytail with her own TV show! Goodness knows how that combination of bits and pieces from my head came together but I did wake up thinking "What the?"
ROFL Oh dear Ali.............maybe I've been waving that big stick around too much?? I did used to wear my hair in a ponytail and it was quite blonde at one time.........never ahd my own TV show though, not sure I'm TV material.

Your Valentines sounds really sweet, we celebrated Pancake day yesterday with pancakes, so that was my indulgence for the week.

I've had a really nice day today, managed to get work done really quickly and got on with sorting out stuff which I like better than anything. Found quite a few bits of card and paper (yeah right, like I need more ) Still, at least there was enough to make up a few scrap packs.

you were lucky too Cathy, I'd take him up on that meal.

Oh dear, Ali whatever did you eat before you went to bed. Amazing thing this mind of ours isn't it? Mandy as the house mother. Now there's a thought.
Early start here today and was going so well cleaning through the house until I broke my vacuum cleaner hose so I will just have to stop now and find something else to amuse myself with. Wonder what that could be ???
Pretty grey day outside again. We have had some huge storms this week so everything is a bit soggy around the place.

Ali, I think you should be very careful the next time you go to the supermarket and buy mushrooms... ROFL that was quite a dream!

More work for me today. I've been given a pretty tight deadline by one client so gotta get to and finish that stuff.

A very good friend has been diagnosed with high grade breast cancer She had her biopsy done a fortnight ago, then the lumpectomy last Thursday... in the week between biopsy and having the lump removed the cancer had moved into her lymph nodes, so its pretty aggressive. Thoughts of our friend have kept me pretty quiet this last couple of weeks... she is being very positive and upbeat about it, it's the rest of us that are absolutely gutted by the news.

We've had the upset tummy thing in our house this week too Mandy. I was feeling icky Tuesday night and Wednesday with it, and DH had it last night. I've had another lot of news today... my Mum's sister had a bowel cancer removed a couple of years ago and now it seems she has a "mass" on one ovary. No idea till next week as to what it actually is, but I do know what we're hoping it isn't.

More bookwork today... get this stuff finished and delivered and then onto the next couple of clients' BAS stuff.

I missed your post the other day Wendy, hope you are all over the tummy bug, ours was just a 24 hour thing, so not too bad. That's terrible about your Mum's Sister, once it gets you it seems to keep coming back hey??

I've been on book work (well, sort of trying to get aroundtoit) all week, did some at the weekend and have nearly managed to get all last years up to date. Now I just ahve to wrok thru my accountants list of documents he needs..............shame I did'nt get around to the filing last year wasn't it ???

Busy day today, trying to play catch up and get ahead, I want to take friday off and go to the beach and shopping with my friend, so have to work extra hard these next two days.

The paperwork never ends does it Mandy?
Busy morning here, few loads of washing then a trip to the chemist and Aldis and Woolies, the cheapie shop, fuel and the vacuum cleaner shop, told the man to take a month if he needed but he fixed it on the spot. Damn.
Just having a coffee and then going to photograph some of the things I have been working on for the last week or so, then I can pack them all away and clean up the mess I have created.
    Have a good day everyone.

Sorry to hear about your friend Wendy, what devastating news for you all.

Not much to report in my world, we're off to Melbourne this weekend for a 4 day mini holiday to celebrate our first wedding anniverary which falls on Sunday. I can't beleive it's a year already but we're both looking forward to a lovely little getaway together, away from work and all those other everyday things and just have a few days to celebrate something very special.

Hope the upset tummies in Mandy and Wendys houses are settled down now.

Have a great weekend everyone, whatever your plans are.

Hope you ahve a wonderful weekend Ali, sounds like a real treat. My treat for the week is a trip to the beach this afternoon.............think its well and truly overdue, I'm feeling so tired and cranky and not at all like my cheerful self ROFL. We've got hard rubbish collection on Monday, I got all confused and thought it was last weekend. So, I'm in for a few days of tidying up and sorting out which will be fun.................NOT.

Isn't it funny how some days you can really take critisicm and others you really just can't. Today is one of those days and I don't think that first moany customer email of the morning got a very good response. Oh well, can't please all the people all the time, seems today is one of those days...............all I can say is don't try to speak to me today

Enjoy your weekend away Ali. Time just gets away doesn't it?

I've been a bit flat these last couple of days. I woke up with a headache yesterday morning and pretty much fell into bed last night and passed out... the thing is, I've still got the headache Usually these headaches of mine are gone after a good night's sleep but not this time. I also had to call our telephone company this morning and have Caller ID activated on our home phone account, as we've been getting some nuisance calls about 11.45pm a couple of nights this week and I really don't need that.
Anyway, the BAS forms still need to be finalised and I've tried to sleep this morning but the phone keeps ringing so I will give up, take a couple more nurofen and finish these tax forms.

Hope you are feeling better Wendy, maybe a quiet weekend to recharge is in order. Aren't those late night calls a nuisance. I guess the morons doing think they are really funny, makes you wonder what makes them tick.
Have a wonderful break away Ali, one year already Where does the time go?

Well after a weekend at Mum and Dad's my head is really not feeling that much better I suspect I have an infection attached to one of my teeth which is causing the headache and the other throbbing pain - my eye socket hurts, my top jaw on one side is sooo sore, and now my ear is starting to ache too. So I will ring both the doctor AND the dentist - and find out which one has the first available appointment to give me some antibiotics or something because after 5 days I'm a bit over the headache thing.
But first i gotta get these kids ready for school and go to work.

Sorry to hear that Wendy, flippen teeth are a nuisance when they get infected.............one of the resons why I let them yank 'em out lol. I ahd a reminder from my dentist last week, time for a check up.........so not looking forward to that, they always seem to find something wrong. Hope you get an appointment nice and early today.

Had quite a busy weekend, sorted out all the hard rubbish stuff and thats now being loaded ontot eh trucks, so very ahppy about that. Amazing how much rubbish you hold onto, we've ahd old fencing panels behind the shed since we replaced our fence five years ago, it's not like we're ever going to use them cos they aren't tht pretty or useful. I did heve this idea of making them intot hose round corrugated tubs things that are so popular. Ian wasn't that interested and there is no way I wold tackle the angle grinder on my own.

Well that tooth won't cause me too much more trouble - it's gone! The dentist did an x-ray today and noticed that while the tooth looked fine on the outside, it was all decayed on the inside and the infection had gone all the way up the root of the tooth - no wonder the headache wouldn't go away!
