Thank you all for your lovely thoughts. I was spolit as usual. No cake though I am being good!
Hot morning in Brissy. Busy week here and pleased to see the weekend almost here to have a break. Thought we were retired lol. Have hardly even had time to put my head into the craftroom but I think that is about to change. Bought a new computer during the week so have spent nearly all day yesterday copying files on to it. Was feeing very pleased with myself and just checking that I had everything i needed before I cleaned off the old one and found I had missed my Craft folder. How devastated I would have been if I had lost the last 4 years of tutorials and templates etc. Goes to show I must be more awake than I thought I was this morning. Think I have had enough computing for a while. Off to do the groceries and maybe pop out for a bit of lunch later. Hoping for a wet weekend so I can spend itin the craft room lol
Have a great day everyone.
That would have been devastating Kaye, I try to hard to keep back ups of all our stuff, it's hard when things keep changing. I reckon if you store everything online then in theory it should always be available and never lost - I did say in theory lol.
We've had a relatively cold start to February and today and the weekend it's supposed to be raining, which is good for my flowers and vegetables. I can't believe how quickly this month is going - got my sisters birthday in March and it's also the UK Mothers Day too, so I really have to get a wriggle on with my projects. Plus the dreaded taxes need paying. I just want to spend my weekends in the craft room, no chance of that yet.
Hope to catch up with everyone tonight at the create and chat, otherwise, have a lovely weekend

Wonderful news about your Dad Mandy, you must all be so happy
I can't believe little Emma is already in Prep! I'm sure it can't be that long since she was just a little baby!
I'm thinking about getting about an eReader - We're heading off on a cruise in April which includes lots of time at sea and a 14hr flight back from Hawaii so that's a lot of reading time but not a lot of luggage space to take enough books to read! Also, it'd be handy to have one to carry in my bag just day-to-day so I've got something to fill in time waiting for the bus etcCan anyone recommend any particular brand? I'd prefer to keep it around the $100 mark if possible - But I'd love to hear what you like/don't like about the model you have and if you've got any advice about buying and using.
I've been pottering a little in my craft room, trying out some new stamps and other bits and pieces - Nothing significant as yet but still fun.
We're still in the thinking stage about landscaping but have to get started soon, we want to get a vege garden going, some back lawn, a few fruit trees and some other screening/border plants - And that's just the backyard! For front yard I'm hoping for an ornamental weeping cherry, some native flowering plants to attract the birds that seem to be everywhere around here, and some bulbs and ground covers. But we have to start with the backyard, then the driveway, then the front yard - It's a big job but we'll do it bit by bit and are looking to maybe get some advice from a landscape designer (one of Lloyds coworkers FIL is one) just to be confident in our ideas and what plants to use.
Kamma - Lovely to see you backI hope 2012 brings the happiness you deserve

Contentment is not the fulfilment of what you want, but the realisation of how much you already have.
Just got back home from Aunty Noreens funeral and that was 3 days ago spent extra time down there catching upwith rellies My mum stood up to the day better than I thought it is so hard seeing her get so frail these days.
My and have I come home to some terrible heat... to hot in my craft room to even think of doing anything as it gets the afternoon sun in it. BUT I had my swap in the mail from Ruth and has she put some goodies in that box it seemed to be bottomless.... there is the most beautiful collection of goodies you have ever seen and all matching. I am ssssoooo Happy thank you ever so much the next lot of cards I do I will be putting it all to use.
Hope you all had a good CC night and a good turn up I will catch up with Tracey later and she will fill me in. Think I need a nanny nap I have some sleep to catch up on.
I made a comment yesterday when I got back from Brisbane but it seems to have got lost is space some where. I had a good few days away catching up with the family and I came home to Ruth's swap in the mail . Ruth I simply love the box and all the goodies.... all with matching colour etc I am so excited with it all I need now is a bit of time to make some thing with it all.. ( or are we using it in next months swap?) Thank you ever so so much.
Jan, glad you liked the swap goodies. I had fun puting it together.
There you go Jan your post did turn up after allI agree with you about the heat, I really don't enjoy February on QLD, add in the thunderstorms most days and it can be very unpleasant. We received an SMS about midnight last night to say there was a really bad storm, hail, gales etc about to hit Brissy so then I couldn't go back to sleep waiting for this storm that never arrived.Thank goodness. Think the weather bureau is a bit edgy after the floods.
Monday morning again and our week is lining up like a medical journal with doctors, dentist, pathologist, chemist etc etc. Have been upgradingto another desktop computer for the past few days and just about finished , then I need to check out what has been happening on the gallery and add some comments.
Enjoy your Monday everyone
Hey everyone, just quick and short. I am trying, and finding hard but trying to keep my computer time down to the bear minimum. I have hurt my right arm. Too much gardening, bindery work, tennis and I am sure computer work hasn't helped. I have had one Bowen Treatment with another planned Thursday. So I am here just not typing. Should be back next week all fixed.![]()
