New Year, New Competition

This will be for the January Gallery...............and as this is the first one with our new updated gallery, we'll have to see if this works

For the pictures uploaded in January, we all need to vote on our favourite and the one that gets the most votes will win a prize. (this applies to Australia only, so sorry if you are overseas, you can vote, but the prize won't be applicable to you)

I only noticed yesterday that the voting/rating is limited to 1 to 10 per person posting a comment, so I suppose you will have to comment on a picture and vote at the same time. If you've already commented I think you can go back in and vote/rate the picture. The person who's picture gets the most votes and comments will win....................so, all you new people, upload one of yoru creations and vote for others, then you may be in with a chance to win.

How about this. We set up an Jan2010 competition gallery then have a date that all pictures should be uploaded by. During that time comments can be added to the pictures and after the closing date a poll is set up in the forum for voting for the picture of your choice?

Or something like that LOL

Ian will that mean you only put the pictures of the cards you want to go in the competition into the Competition Gallery and you put all your other cards into their appropriate galleries or do they go into both galleries?

I will have a chat with Mandy later on and maybe can thrash out a good solution as it was her idea in the first place.

I tried to upload 3 pictures to my gallery and they are showing as waiting but I'm getting an error message - can I clear this or does someone else need to for me?

Thanks Ian! Just did that I have an Album now....yeah but I still can't upload I keep getting a fatal error message which says tried to allocate 12784 bytes........... on line 116 !!!!
Oh dear what have I done if I could clear the 3 waiting in my que it might help. Sorry to be blonde!!!!

Tillymint, I found that the file size caused the error! and also trying to load more than one picture at a time, we used to be able to do so on the old site, but not this new one, something which I believe Ian is going to fix in the fullness of time. Try reducing the size of your file, and upload one at a time. see if that helps.

Thanks for your help, I have tried now but think I need to be able to clear the 3 that are waiting in a que!!!! Do you know how to do that please????

Tillymint you will probably have to wait for for admin to approve the photos, sometimes it is the next day so don't give up just yet. We keep him pretty busy you know
