Default Gift Ideas & Craft Stall Ideas

I've been reading through some of the old threads and I don't think I've seen anything on this topic - or if I've missed it, please let me know. Hoping this section is okay for this.

So, I thought I would start a thread on gift / craft stall ideas where we can share our ideas.

With Emma finishing daycare this year, I need to make some gifts for the teachers and obviously for the future years in school. Also what are some ideas for craft stalls other than cards, tags.

I picked up last week at a garage sale, pens that had birds (punched) stuck on the end of the pen, small post it note holders. Thought these would be good ideas for gifts for teachers.

I'm working on card folders, boxed cards, stitched gift boxes (the lids of the boxes will be stitched), decorated pillow boxes, magnetic bookmarks (in a cd case), gift card holders. I thought about doing up gift bags as well.

I hope that we can share ideas.

Kerry...one liitle gift i used to make was a little lavender sachet. I made a small envelope out of pretty paper stamped a design on the front and then put lavender inside and sealed it...they were very pretty and inexpensive and went well on the mothers day stalls...I also made drink coasters and used liquid gloss to cover the top...u can put any design on the the wooden coaster for any occasion...they were always popular..knitted coat hangers always went well...decorated candles...either with stickers or marbled...not sure what paint was used..decoupage soaps can be made for men women or children...
These are all simple ideas but you will find with mothers day and fathers day stalls you need a wide variety of gifts and prices as some poor little mites dont have anyhting or very little to spend.

Sorry, Kerry, I meant to reply to this at the weekend, I found a book that has heaps of fundraiser ideas in it. There are a few really cute Teacher gifts in there, when I discover it again, I'll put pictures in here to give everyone an idea.

My "usual" for the Mothers Day stall is the hanging hand towel - the kids both say they never see my stuff on the Mothers Day stall table by the time they get there so obviously they go quickly! Hadn't thought of the coasters and lots of the things Kamma listed - must remember to go back to this thread when it's time to start making things for the Mother/Fathers Day stalls.
When scrapbooking, remember to do journalling in your albums - no matter how ugly your handwriting is, it is a gift for future generations
