Hi There, I have not crafted since I was a child, apart from decorating a fun novelty cake here and there. I have taken up card making - I can't believe it will be a year next month - in that time I have learnt so much, mainly by searching the interwebs. It is my classroom! I have just found this site and thought I'd participate, hopefully on a regular basis. It's great to have the opportunity to be involved in an Aussie-based forum, thankyou.

Hi Trexxie....great to hear from you. Yes, cardmaking is fun and certainly does make time fly. I have been enjoying it for a lot of years. Check out the gallery here for lots of inspiration. Also join in our weekly inspiration challenge. Each week is a new theme where you can post a photo of your creation for that theme whether it is brand new or and older creation it will inspire someone. Oh and don't forget to check out the monthly Card Sketch Challenge. This months is a lot of fun.

Hi Trexxie and welcome to craft mad, I love card making, its such a great way to create something unique, quickly (usually) easily to give to someone special. I also find that with the prices of Hallmark cards, its also a chepaer alternative to buying..............unless you're like some of our members and have to have all the latest papers, gadgets and stuff Not that I'm talking about myself of course LOL

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Merry, I took the liberty of adding my creation to this month's challenge - I saw the sketch a few days ago and loved it, so I ran with it! I'll have to take a look at the inspiration challenge.

Thanks Kaye, I think (hope) he liked it! He can be a man of few words when it comes to these things, lol. But I did just speak to my Mother in Law who said he wanted to ring me on Sunday night after looking at the card again, but she thought it might be a bit late to call, so he didn't! I made a lion one similar for my Dad and he seemed to like his card. The lion is poking out his tongue!
