    Default TV programs we love

Just caught Ian cathcing up on his iView ABC stuff and he was watching "Outnumbered" which is a UK show so I'm a bit biased...its so funny and really watchable. The kids say the funniest things and the parents are like most parents, trying their best but pretty clueless when it comes to managing the kids.

I also love on ABC - The Street and Dr Who, The Bill, The amazing race, (they showed this week a repeat of that one with the marching...so funny the poor guy just could not get it) United States of Tara, Grand Designs, Collectors, Waking the Dead, Gardening Australia, The Prisoner, New Tricks,

On Seven my favourite shows would have to be Heartbeat which is ending soon Better Homes and Gardens (although I get a bit cross with the speed they do some of the projects plus they change it everytime any sport ie footy is on, so annoying) X Factor, although I think I'll get bored of this fairly soon. City Homocide, Packed to the Rafters (this is one of my favourite shows right now) Thank God Your Here, Worlds Stictest Parents. I also watch Ellen when its on during my lunchbreak although its all repeats at the moment. Lewis, Midsomer Murders, Escape to the Country and 60 Minute Makeovers (both really good fun) The Martin Clunes horsey and doggy things,

On Ten, we watch every day the news at 5pm plus Neighbours, and then the 7pm Project (which is kind of a repeat of the news although funnier), Lie to Me, Bondi Rescue, Bondi Vet (love this one right now, so sad with the animals, love the happy endings) Medium, Recruits,

On Nine I usually watch: Sea Patrol, Hot Property, RBT, Customs, Send in the Dogs,

As you can see, our TIVO works overtime on seven and the ABC Not that I watch a lot fo TV ROFL

I always say I don't watch a lot of tele but looking at that list I think I must watch more than I think.
We enjoy Waking the Dead and Crimiinal Minds and always tape Sherlock Holmes on Monday even though Ron has them all on dvd we watch them again and again as well as Agatha Christies Poirot if they ever put them on ABC. We are also fans of Amazing Race, Masterchef, Hot Property and the other auction one, Recruits, Bondi Rescue and the Vet and of course Homicide and a bit of XFactor.Throw in the news and Current affair shows and a movie now and then and I have discovered I do in fact watch a lot of tele. Don't really watch daytime tlel and after sitting at the hospital for 5 hours today and watchingthe daytime programs to pass the time, I worked out why. lol

I'd forgotten about the Poiret, they are my favourites, I also like the Miss Marples..I really like the ABC, probably because they have a lot of UK stuff. I'm glad I'm not the only one though, it's not like I just sit there, I craft and load stuff on the shop, plus sometimes I've even been known to do the accounts or even worse the ironing Daytime TV does leave a lot to be desired, especially on Saturday and Sunday and in the summer. Luckily, I'm always working then..............or perhaps unluckily.

Think David Suchet makes an excellent Poiret Mandy, we recently saw him doing a documentary on the Orient Express and it was so hard to get my head around him actually being British instead of Belgian lol

I thought of another one that we've started to watch recently, the Australian Secret Millionaire where they give away money to needy people and good causes. It a good show, used to watch the UK one. Some wealthy people have really got the fact that life isn't all about amassing wealth in the form of money and stuff, it's also about giving back as much as you receive.

I don't class my self as a TV watcher. I do watch Dr Who, and currently I'm watching paradox, both on Fox, mind you Dr Who's finished, and getting wierder by the series. lol Must admit I prefer to craft.

hi girls, our TIVOS get a real workout during ratings time - we are so far behind in our shows, it is not funny

We all seem to like similar shows, but with enough differences to be interesting

Doctor Who, Paradox, SG Atlantis, Warehouse 13, Criminal Minds, Bones, Castle, CSI (all of them), House, Good News Week, Gruen Transfer, Spicks & Specks, How I met your mother, Lie to me, the mentalist, Numb3rs, NCIS, Rescue Special Ops, Sea Patrol, Two & a Half Men, Packed to the Rafters.

I have recently been watching Brothers & Sisters from the start on Foxtel and have been enjoying it - I love Sally Field
I am not one for 'reality' shows, but I enjoyed My Kitchen Rules and Masterchef - not sure about the upcoming Junior Masterchef .

Looking at the list, it seems like we watch a lot of TV, but at night after tea, we watch 1, maybe two shows, then I go to bed. We have enough viewing to take us through the times when the ratings are not on

Cathy, I'd forgotten the Mentalist and SG Atlantis and Bones, I used to watch Crimianl Minds, got too fed up with all the gore and sickness in it, same with Numbers too, the story lines all seemed to blend into one another.

I'm currently watching Better Homes and gardens which we recorded last night..should really be sewing but guess who's working on the shop at the same time??. UK shows to watch out for are Roger and Val Just Got In with Dawn French and the new series of New Tricks, both promise to be brilliant. I also like quite a few of the UK comedy shows, Miranda Hart was one of my absolute favourites, hope she has a new series out really soon.

I'm not that much of a TV watcher, however I really love Grey's Anatomy and make a real effort to watch it when it's on. I also love Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother and don't mind watching Packed to the Rafters. Mostly the TV here is going on whatever DH wants to watch, and I do other stuff with the TV going in the background but being ignored by me.

Not only are we alike by doing crafting it seems a lot the TV shows we all watch are the same too. We don't get local TV too well where we are so we watch a lot of Austar (FOX). We have been watching Paradox lately...great show. Doctor Who is always fun. The kids have on Two and Half Men and How I met your Mother....great for a laugh. I have booked each week...the Amazing Race and the new show Spirited. And I watch Australia's Next Top Model with Melissa. Gruen Transfer is brilliant. Bones and NCIS is also on. Actually my list is very similar to Cathy's Most of these get watched at night time after tea although I do have TV on all day it is just a noise thing while I flit around the house. Fun post Mandy

we have this on our Tivo to watch some time soon

Wendy, I had forgotten about Greys Anatomy too - I watched the last two episodes together in one afternoon and had to have a box of tissues ready - I think it was one of the best season finales I had seen in a while. It doesn't beat the NCIS season finale where Caitlin got shot - major bummer

The only TV I get to watch is NCIS (my 2 young boys keep me very busy). Love that show and make sure I am in front of the TV at 8.30 on Tuesday, come what may. Does anyone know when the new season starts????

I think I mentioned before that we really enjoy Sherlock Holmes. Yesterday I was lucky enough to buy the compete set of 16 dvds, 41 episodes of Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Britt playing the lead role. Ron has the Basil Rathbone series but I think Jeremy Britt was a far better Sherlock. So that is one Christmas gift sorted, Ron will be wrapped.

That was a really good buym Kaye, Ron might like the new up to date series of Sherlock Holmes, it's excellent and hopefully they will do a second series. It's still set in London and on Baker Street (been there ) and has a Dr Watson. Both actors are brilliant, can't remember their names, (I'm not good with neames )although the Dr Watson character has been in loads of programs including a few comedies. One to watch out for.

Thanks for that Mandy Ron Hadn't seen that one but went looking last night and found the complete 1st series on Ebay so looks like another chrissy gift on the way
We went to Baker St as well after we had been to Madame Tussauds but it was too late in the day to go in and we left on tour the next day and never got back there, still regret that.
