Unfortunately we're already facing it with Bob's mum. It's heartbreaking.

It is sad hey Beth? Dad has started to show signs of forgetfulness which is very worrying as he is Mum's carer. So sad that the end part of your life you are faced with such hard things to bear. It should be the happiest time, no work, kids sorted money to spare and time to do what you really want. Instead, in a lot of cases it turns into endless hospital visits, worry and heartache. I sometimes wonder if thats what we are meant to learn thoughout our lives, that the ending will not always be easy.

So many programs have come to an end recently, my absolute favourite has to be Dr Who, what an ending that was - can't wait for the new season.

I've also been wathcing that Winners and Losers and quite like it although the plot lines and stories are very similar to the Rafters, I still find it a good watch.

Another of my favourites is Stargate Universe, Lord help anyone who gets in the way of me watching that - there was a huge tantrum when the ending of one got missed from the recording a few weeks back.

So what is everyone else watching at the momene? I expect it will be late night Wimbledon soon. I'm hoping that Ian remembered to record that Polar BVear spy on the ice doco last night - although I can watch it online - good old iview hey??

As its a letter D week, I'll mention one of my favourite TV shows which ended on Sunday, Downton Abbey, I really didn't think it was going to be my cup of tea and then ended up getting hooked on it. Such lovely costumes, brilliant old houses and a really good story line - especially the ending, can't wait for next season

We loved that show also Mandy so much so that Ron considered buying the dvd last week, sort of talked himself into it and then opted for a disc of Sherlock Holmes audio books and stories in pdf which he is really enjoying even though he has read and seen them all before.
looking forward to the return of Downton Abbey

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm hooked on Gossip Girl. I love the clothes and the drama! I never miss an episode.

the nest season of Doctor who starts on Saturday. I missed most of the last season but have it on record now. I find it hard to watch TV Mond- to friday as My FIL has the main lounge. I do record a few so here goes...
I like being Human. (chanel 11.) only got into it while waiting for The Tudors to start. And was gald the replayed it on 11. I am also loving Santuray. Had to buy the box set so I could watch season 1. The main show I do watch is heart beat. Love it. I cant think of anything else that watch though I know there has to be more. Hubby likes to watch the talent shows on 7. So I let him watch them.

I can't wait for the new Dr Who to come over here, Ian can sometimes get them earlier on the net, the Dr Who ones though, tend not to be available. Sanctuary I like too - Heartbeat, well, although I like it, we used to see it in the UK so a lot of the older episodes are like 15 years old or older. Another one we're into right now is the new Torchwood although they've sexed it up a bit for the US market which kind of takes away from the storylines.

Ian sounds like your hubby, Daisy, he loves the talent shows like X factor, Idol and that other one which I can't remember the name of now - made an impression on me didn't it? lol

I would not even know how to get shows from the net LOL. All the episodes of heart beat are ones I have never seen before so I am enjoying them. I am excited to hear about another torchwood. It is not of freeview is it?

Daisy - There is another Torchwood called Miracle Day, it just finished running on Fox. If you are going to watch it see if you can get it on DVD, I expect they will cut alot out on normal TV. But I highly reccommend it, I never watched Torchwood before and now I am a convert, going to see if I can get the other series on DVD!

I am loving True Blood, just finished watching the first season and about to embark on the second one soon, either that or watch the 5th season of DEXTER.

This may sound sad but I am also totally in love with watching WWE (wrestling) the drama is good enough to rival any soap opera and there is plenty of eye candy too

I love the new Torchwood Miracle Day series, it was really well done - although they did sex it up a bit too much, some of those scenes were just too racey for me. It was a really great storyline though. The Uk based Tprchwood was very good, we managed to watch all of it - I love sci fi.

I'm enjoying the new Dr Who, although I am a bit cheesed off that the US get to see it a week before we do, that sucks - we should have it on the same time as the UK even if it means having it moved to Sundays.

My other favourite at the moment is Stargate Universe which just gets better and better.

I agree the Torchwood series were very good...but like you Mandy just thought the sex scenes showed a little too much. We are hooked on Cold Case and Chicago something...lol can't think of the title. It's another US police show....of course it is with the name Chicago in it. Don't mind me having a chat to myself. Oh and I don't mind sitting down in the middle of the day to watch Australia's Next Top Model and Top Chef.

This last month, two of my favourite shows have finished, one for good, I really loved Stargate Universe, it was better than all the others for me and now it's ended So sad, I don't think they will be bringing it back as they are selling off the uniforms and the set. Such a shame as it ended in a way that means it could come back. I reckon they should bring out a series of mini movies just to really finish it off properly.

My other favourite is Dr Who, the current season ended this week although I know they are working on a Christmas special which is going to be shown on Christmas Eve in the UK - so who knows when it will be shown here. (I predict a massive hunt on the net for a download of this special) Anyhow, now we're back to watching stupid stuff on Saturdays and Thursdays
