Default Happy New Year to you all. 2012

Hi everyone, just wanted to wish you all a fantastic 2012 with many hours of crafting involved. I had a friend and her family over to help pass the time till midnight although she just couldn't manage it and left 11pm........oh so close. Our daughter however, had friends over last night so that helped us stay awake for the New Year. This is a double celebration in our household. We all run around saying Happy New Year to each other then we all find my husband and wish him a Happy Birthday. This year we gave him his pressie at midnight. Always seems a strange way to celebrate your birthday. It's all backwards. It's at the end of the party, you get presents then go to bed. Then wake late in the morning. Then my family visit after lunch for cheesecake birthday cake.

Anyways, have a great year everyone.

Happy New Year from us as well. Hope it brings all good things to everyone.
We are hoping for a much better year this year.
We, I really mean Ruth, crafted until midnight I only lasted until 11pm but then tossed and turned until midnight.
Everyone is up bright and early this morning though and they are getting ready for a days shopping in the city. Ron and I will give that miss I think.

Happy New Year to everyone. Hoping that this one is better than 2011.

We took Emma down to Bribie Island for the 8 pm fireworks then came home, as we didn't think that she would make it till midnight. Both Michael and I stayed up till way after midnight.

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope that 2012 is wonderful for all of us. We brought in the new year with friends with a bbq at home and walked down to the beach for the 9pm fireworks which were amazing! Have a great day recovering

Never even heard it this year. Definitely not a night owl anymore. 10.30pm and my peepers are closing. On a really happy note, finally I am going home! I was visiting my Mum in Brisbane for Christmas and either lost or had my purse stolen. No photo ID or secondary ID come to that so could not fly. Then the bank sent my new ATM card (which I could have used for ID) to a branch that was closed between Christmas and New years. They tried to call me but I had left my phone at home. I had to wait til today to be able to pick my card up and finally my licence came as well. Of course by this time there were no cheap flights. One airline has nothing at all for the next 3 days. My Mum had asked me to come to her rather than her fly over to me and was paying for the fares which made me feel really guilty in costing her an extra $200 odd. She'd love it if I stayed longer but my poor cat sitter is wanting to know when I'll be back and I'm kind of homesick now. I really want a few days to settle back in before having to go back to work next week. Really looking forward to some good swaps with everyone.

Oh wow....what a drama. I bet your Mum did love that you had an extra few days with her. I hope you are settled back home quickly and back in to routine.

    Happy New Year to all
I am back after having a huge trip Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa then back to Toronto. Stayed with friends then off to Cuba, fantastic place. Then back to Toronto then on to New York, how cool is that place. Then finally back to Toronto for the New Year festivities and lots of magical snow -19 and loved it. We left in November and got back a few days ago.

I missed you lovely ladies and all the swaps but did manage to pop into the site occasionally. Even managed to make a few cards while I was away. Thought I had better check Michaels out. Yummy stuff but had to hold myself back because of luggage restrictions.

I am now a retired lady and loving it. So that I can still continue my crafting I have become a Stampin Up demonstrator. I love their products so am quite excited about this new phase of my life. Anyhoo glad to be back, now to trawl through all the forums and see what I have been missing.

Oh how exciting Zena....that sounds like such and awesome holiday. I so want to check out Canada one day. I have been to Niagara Falls and just loved the atmosphere there. Sounds like you have a wonderful retirement planned....congrats to you and wishing you many happy crafting days.
