Pot Holder
What can you make with a Tea Towel
Coin/change purse
Cushion Cover with two fabrics and one ribbon
Disappearing Nine Patch
Asterisk Block
Grecian Square
String Quilt Block
Well, is everyone keeping up? I already see February peeping it's head around the corner. Time to choose some themes. I thought I would go with camsmums suggestion of having a separate sewing swap as well as the 'Craftmad Family Quilt' this month. Just in case there are other sewers out there that would like to be involved but not interested in the quilt. So this will be a combined poll. One is to choose what block style we will swap this month as Annmaree has come up with a few suggestions. The other is to choose the theme for the sewing swap. Everyone please join in and have your say.
Now if anyone wants to join in the 'Craftmad Family Quilt swap' please feel free too as I made a two each of the three blocks I sent off. So have these spare if you would like to catch up and join in.
I will keep this poll open until Sunday night then open a group for people to sign up to with the theme with the most votes.

I voted pot holder tooDo we put anything special in the middle (ie heat resistant?) - I made pot holders once for mum and just used double wadding (which was horrible to sew together anyway!) but not sure if that's right...

Hey Lauren...we did a pot holder swap a little while ago and I just put wadding in mine. However, my partner Antmee....used Insulabrite at Thermal batting. When I received it I thought this was so thin and would not work at all but I can tell you it is my most used pot holder today.I just googled. I see a lot of people saying that you should be able to buy it at Spotlight. Also so that our very own Evelyn (member of Craftmad) owner of Autumn Threads sells it. Here is a link to here listing. Scroll to end of page.
Thanks Merry I will have to check it out![]()

YAY!!!!! I finally finished my three blocks last night
On the downside though - it is bucketing down rain here and just to wet to bundle the kids up into the car to go to post office. So please sit tight ladies - mine are coming!!!!!!!!
Now onto my cards for the Jan Card Swap!
PS - I am also happy to do another block or two, if somebody wants to join and missed the Jan one![]()
It's not sunday night yet but the poll seems to be closed? If it can still be counted my vote for the block is the string quilt or the grecian square. I think those go the best with the block we've just done. I'd also rather make a change or coin purse.

My religion is simple. There is no need for temples or complicated philosophy. Your heart and your mind are the temple. The philosophy is kindness. Whenever possible be kind. It is always possible

Thanks Annette...I will add you into the voting. I didn't think about the poll closing the same time as I started it but four days later. Live and learn.
Hi everyone, I have just been and started up the groups for the General Sewing Swap which will be a potholder. The Craftmad Family quilt we will be swapping a 'String Quilt Block'. Remember, even if you were not involved in our Craftmad Family Quilt block swap last month you can still join in. I have extra blocks to help you catch up.
awesome, any choice tutorials you have for these projects![]()
Thanks Heaps Merry, watching them now, so exciting!
Are the pot holders going to have colour selections? *sorry for all the questions*
No problems with the questions Annmaree.....because if you are asking them someone else is thinking them too I am sure. I was hurrying a little and didn't give too much detail.
So we will be swapping one potholder, style and size of your choice and colour of your choice. Although, with the colour side you could always contact your partner and see if they have a preference in their kitchen. I probably didn't think of this as my kitchen gadgets and accessories as such a mix match of colours.
Here is the link to our last potholder swap in October 2009 for some more ideas.
